We left and when we got back to the hotel, I threw up a few times. When it was served to me it was warm-ish which I thought was strange. I had avocado toast which was OK> Then I ordered a drink of nectar punch. My husband and I ate there on Memorial Day around lunchtime. To not be totally negative of our experiences, we got usual juices to go were great! Do better Nectar!! More When are they going to take care of that? Also as the customer come into the restaurant they are greeted with "watch your step" from hostess and waiting customers. For a restaurant located in Lewis, with Lewis prices, the details should matter. The staff vibe was lack a customer welcoming atmosphere. Finally, our server showed up shooed o away the other server and came back with half full S&P shakers that didn't look clean The staff could not handle the brunch crowd despite there being no more than a 10 min. There was a only a few granules in the dirty S&P shakers and we requested a replacement but the server held her ground and insisting that they were full. Then there was the salt and pepper battle with the with a different server that bought our food. I was given a what like a messy and limited selections of teas that I could have pulled from my cabinet. I was not asked what type of tea that I wanted. Tea cup had a dime size brown spot on the inside rim ( possibly was chipped and repaired). After sending it back, she got a new cup of coffee ( that could have been bought back on a server's tray, btw) that tasted terrible. The first cup of coffee had specs in it that weren't coffee grinds. My girlfriend has gotten the blueberry pancakes many times before lacked fluffiness and favor and barely enough blueberry syrup which also lacked flavor. For being called a bacon omelet there was very little signs of bacon and the eggs coated in a watery juices of the veggies. had the blueberry pancakes and a cup of coffee. I had the bacon omelet and a cup of tea and my girlfriend. My girlfriend and I went there for brunch. It was such a disappointment that we wanted to get through our meals and move on. It was supposed to be for the beginning of my husband's birthday so that made it even more disappointing. But I literally felt I had on an invisibility cloak. Not sure what happened here we weren't dirty or dressed inappropriately or acting rudely. We went down the street and had a great meal elsewhere. This is only the second time I have walked out of a restaurant in 40 years of adult life. With the service being non-existent to that point, we felt that it was unlikely once a waiter did come we would be able to have our meal in any reasonable time frame. She came back (without the water) and at that point we left. When we said something finally to the hostess, she said that unfortunately they were short-staffed when I pointed out the other surrounding tables all had been served (Including the one that was seated after us), she said she would get us water and check with the waiter. The waiter, host, and a hostess all walked by our table, looked at us and walked on by, meanwhile the other tables were ordering food, getting drinks, being served food. served water and then had a waiter come and take their order, including the group that was seated after us. It was very disconcerting as we were seated after one couple and before another group of four we were surrounded by three tables. Unfortunately, service was not to be had. I was so looking forward to brunch here after all the great reviews. Seafood Restaurants for Special Occasions in Lewes.
